Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development
The Business Development Department within the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development has staff
that work directly with existing industry to provide guidance, resources and contacts to assist
Kentucky businesses to expand their operations. The Cabinet also has offices in Germany, Japan,

Kentucky World Trade Center
The Kentucky World Trade Center (KWTC) is a business organization that supports import,
export and overseas commercial operations for Kentucky companies. With offices in
Lexington and Louisville, KWTC offers services including consultation, market research,
translation assistance, cross-cultural training and educational seminars. In addition
to acting as a sponsor of international programs and trade missions, KWTC also offers
referrals to local international service providers.
U.S. Commercial Service
The U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) is the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department
of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. USCS trade professionals in over
100 U.S. cities and in nearly 80 countries help U.S. companies get started in exporting
or increase sales to new global markets. USCS promotes and protects U.S. commercial
interests abroad and delivers customized solutions to ensure that U.S. businesses
compete and win in the global marketplace. USCS services for U.S. exporters include:

Kentucky Chamber of Commerce
The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has evolved into the premier business association in the
state, representing 2,700 member businesses – from family owned shops to Fortune 500
companies – that employ over half of the Commonwealth’s workforce. The Kentucky Chamber's
powerful grassroots network, through a partnership with more than 80 local chambers in the
state, consists of 25,000 professionals. The Chamber influences policymakers in areas such
as business taxation and fiscal policy, environmental and safety issues and workers'
compensation, health care and education reform. It provides leadership as a catalyst,

Northern Kentucky International
Trade Association The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s premier trade
association, NKITA is committed to enhancing economic opportunities for those members
who are currently, or who want to be, involved in international trade. The association
connects members with global businesses and networking opportunities through programs,
trade education seminars and special events – including the planning of several
international trade visits and trade missions.
TradeRoots TradeRoots,
a division of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, specializes in inspiring small and medium-sized
companies to export by providing local resources and producing promotional trade
materials and stories. TradeRoots also provides assistance for local trade leadership
organizations regarding federal and local advocacy, relationships with federal and

Established in 1911, the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers is Kentucky’s most effective
